General Terms and Conditions of Sale
Purpose
These General Terms and Conditions of Sale regulate all purchases made through the online store available at www.doismarias.pt, owned by Sociedade Agrícola Dois Marias, Lda.
These conditions complement the website's Terms and Conditions of Use and apply exclusively to the commercial relations established between Dois Marias and its customers.
By placing an order, the customer declares to have read, understood and fully accepted these General Terms and Conditions of Sale.

Products sold
The online store sells, among others:
- Dois Marias Wines;
- Special editions;
- Limited editions;
- Wine accessories;
- Promotional products;
- Other products that may become available.
Product photographs are for illustrative purposes only.
There may be slight differences between the images presented and the product delivered, namely regarding the vintage, label, capsule, or packaging, whenever such changes do not substantially alter the product's characteristics.
Vintages
Wines are products subject to the availability of each vintage.
If a particular vintage is no longer available, Dois Marias may make the immediately subsequent vintage available.
Whenever such a change is likely to significantly influence the customer's purchase decision, the customer will be informed in advance.
Natural Product
Wine is a natural product.
Consequently:
- small differences between vintages;
- slight color changes;
- aromatic evolution;
- sediment formation;
- tartrate crystals;
- natural evolution during aging;
are normal characteristics of the product and do not represent manufacturing defects.
Availability
All products are subject to stock availability.
Submitting an order does not automatically guarantee product availability.
If an item is no longer available after order confirmation, Dois Marias may propose:
- replacement with an equivalent product;
- supply of the next vintage;
- partial refund;
- full refund.
Purchase process
The purchase process includes:
- product selection;
- adding to cart;
- customer identification;
- entering delivery address;
- choosing payment method;
- order confirmation.
The order is considered definitively accepted only after payment validation and confirmation by Dois Marias.
Prices
All prices include VAT at the legal rate in force.
Shipping costs are presented separately before the final purchase confirmation.
Prices may be changed without prior notice.
Changes do not affect already confirmed orders.
Payment methods
Among others, the following may be available:
- Credit Card;
- Debit Card;
- Multibanco Reference;
- Bank Transfer.
- Add or remove a payment method, because I do not have a list of all those available through Shopify
Electronic payments are processed through certified and secure platforms.
Dois Marias does not store complete bank card details.
Invoicing
The invoice will be issued according to the data provided by the client during the purchase process.
It is the customer's responsibility to verify the accuracy of the billing data in advance.
After the invoice is issued, changes can only be made when legally permissible.
Shipping
Orders will be prepared after payment confirmation.
Preparation times may vary depending on:
- product availability;
- time of year;
- order volume;
- exceptional circumstances.
Deliveries
Deliveries will be made to:
- Mainland Portugal;
- Azores;
- Madeira;
- Peninsular Spain;
Dois Marias reserves the right to change delivery areas without prior notice.
Order receipt
The customer must check the outer condition of the packaging upon delivery.
Whenever visible damage exists, it is recommended to:
- photograph the packaging;
- photograph the products;
- immediately inform the carrier;
- inform Dois Marias within a maximum of 48 hours.
Storage after delivery
After order delivery, the correct storage of the wines becomes the customer's responsibility.
It is recommended that bottles be stored:
- in a cool place;
- protected from direct light;
- without significant temperature fluctuations;
- with adequate humidity;
- preferably in a horizontal position when fitted with a natural cork.
Right of free resolution
In accordance with Decree-Law no. 24/2014, the consumer has a period of 14 days to terminate the contract.

Legal Guarantee
All products benefit from legally applicable guarantees.
In the case of wine, the natural characteristics of the product, vintage, and its evolution do not constitute defects of conformity.
Limitation of liability
Dois Marias cannot be held responsible for:
- inadequate use of products;
- incorrect storage after delivery;
- improper consumption;
- non-compliance with storage recommendations;
- force majeure;
- delays attributable to carriers.
Sale of alcoholic beverages
The sale of alcoholic beverages to individuals under 18 years of age is prohibited.
By placing an order, the customer declares to be of legal age to purchase alcoholic beverages.
Dois Marias may cancel orders whenever there are reasonable indications of non-compliance with this obligation.
Alternative Dispute Resolution
In the event of a consumer dispute, the consumer may resort to a Consumer Alternative Dispute Resolution Entity.

Applicable Law
These General Terms and Conditions of Sale are governed by Portuguese law.
